dr. adam arkin
A faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley, since 1999, Arkin currently serves as assistant professor of bioengineering and chemistry with the department of bioengineering at UC Berkeley. He also is an assistant investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a researcher in the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's physical biosciences division.
Through his work, Arkin explores the evolutionary design principles of cellular regulatory networks and how these principles aid in the prediction, control and design of cellular behaviors.
In 2000, he was named one of Time magazine's "Time 100 Innovators."
